Make up your own rules.

Whose “rules” are you living by?

“Rules are made for people who aren’t willing to make up their own.” Chuck Yeager

Whose rules are you living by, yours or someone else’s? Don’t be like the majority of the human race, following the well- worn path and “rules” of others. You must listen to your own inner voice, not the voice of others.

First be true to yourself

Polonius a character in William Shakespeare’s famous play Hamlet, had this to say “This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.”

When you are true to yourself, you are true to your own inner spirit and being. Only then can you present yourself to the world as you truly are, not as others would have you be. Who you are is good enough if you would just be it openly.

Be true to yourself, discover your own set of “rules” and then do what you have to do. Yes, it is that simple.

Your rules are the only ones that matter.
